This is by far my biggest and most challenging project to date. My clients approached me to help them structurally redesign and visually bring to life this large 5 bedroom home in the Brooke, Harare, for them and their 3 girls. Here are the kitchen before and afters.... We stripped the kitchen of the old cabinets, ceiling and floors so that we could start from scratch....
This kitchen is by far my favourite space in the house now. It's minty fresh and bright, and has an eclectic and homely feel to it which is what my clients were after.
Bare bones
My clients wanted a large island with breakfast bar, a gas hob, prep bowl, and plenty of storage.
Island prep bowl
I just love this minty glass splash back, it adds an extra punch of colour and contrasts against the grey and white countertops.
These fun pendants create an eclectic feel and contrast with the soft colours of the kitchen, they're are a real feature above the island.
Scullery
Scullery, dishwasher and washing machine to come.
We kept the floors light, which adds to the fresh look, and further emphasises the dark wood of the door frames and breakfast nook stools.
